ArtWeeks Oxfordshire – Promo I don't believe in art. I believe in artists. – Marcel Duchamp The Challenge To help promote ArtWeeks Oxfordshire over a three-week period to any visitor to wants to take advantage of the amazing creative energy, work and venues. Oxfordshire ArtWeeks will flow into every corner of Oxfordshire next month as the Artweeks festival returns to the area for its 33rd consecutive year. It is the country’s oldest and largest open studio event in the UK with over 200 venues and over 500 Artists and Creatives. First established in 1981, the three-week long festival allows visitors to meet artists in a range of venues, where they will be given the opportunity to view and discuss pieces of artwork, watch demonstrations and get involved in the artistic process themselves. Popup Supper – ArtWeeks Oxford The art of dining well is no slight art, the pleasure no slight pleasure – Montaigne The Challenge To help get customers for this one-off event at Heyford House during the window of North Oxfordshire ArtWeeks. Each year the Artist Group Art More Lovely exhibit here. Leo Brooke-Little and Sonja Kidney host the supper. Heyford House is also a lovely B&B. Sonja wrote for the Guardian’s Ask Sonja column. I consider this a good use of the skills I’ve accumulated over the last 30 years… Project Overview & Solutions The solution often turns out more beautiful than the puzzle – Richard Dawkins Project Overview Three solutions identified to enable more effective marketing and awareness raising for the Sahara Walk. It was important to use the existing house-style and explore creating a friendly connection to the work done at the centres and the importance of contributions: Short video/animation to simplify the idea of the fundraising challenge Creation of small, easily useable segments for social media and directly via email Support document to answer common questions for potential applicants Details involved animating static icons in various ways and stitching the complete message together.
